Nazário Bangalane

Nazarius Joel Julião de Jesus Bangalane is the current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Petroleum Institute since 4 July 2022. 

He graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) and master of science (MSc) in the specialty of Petroleum Engineering and Geosciences by Delft University of Technology (TUDelft) in the Netherlands. 

During training in the Netherlands, he participated in study visits in Canada and held technical exchanges with some oil companies based in Calgary. 

He is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and was the first President of SPE – Maputo Section.
